 My name is Erika and I am an independent childminder working from my home. At Bouncing Berries I offer childcare to a small number of children and if you have childcare requirements I would be happy to hear from you. 

Selecting a trusted childcare provider is a important decision and often there can be many emotions and questions to deal with. My aim is to work closely with parents from the very beginning to provide the best possible support for your child, in an environment where they will feel loving care. I have adapted my home to create an environment designed for a rich learning experience to allow your child to grow in confidence surrounded by support and encouragement.

A bit about me

ERIKA TOWERS (Childminder & OWNER)

My name is Erika. My passion is to work with children and aid their development, and I am the proud mother of two gorgeous boys who attend our local primary school.

My career in childcare started over ten years ago when I started my first job in a nursery setting in Streatham after I decided to move on from the hectic world of working as a chef in various restaurants in Central London.

Following my initial childcare training, I soon decided to deepen my knowledge and experience of child development by completing my level 3 qualification and a foundation degree (levels 4-5) in Early Years while continuing to work with children daily.

My experience in various childcare settings has allowed me to care for children aged six months to 5 years. I have also worked as a room leader in a preschool setting, where my duties included leading colleagues and being the key worker of 12 children.

I enjoy setting up inspiring and engaging activities for children that match their interests to aid their development. At the same time, my previous experience as a chef has given me an understanding of the importance of preparing delicious and nutritious homemade food that children enjoy.
